FAQs

I'm considering transferring from a 141 school, will my hours count?

Yes all your hours count. You will not have to start over from the beginning of your training either. We will require you to fly with one of our CFIs to evaluate your flying skills which will tell us how much training you'll need to finish.

What will this cost me?

We try to keep our website current though the most accurate is found in our scheduling app FSP. They will change based on maintenance, fuel costs, and other factors. Contact us directly for current cost.

The PPL certificate will cost about 11,000 on average. This assumes 50 flight hours (10 more than the FAA mins) and 50 CFI instructional hours (30 more than FAA mins). Should you only require the 40 flight and 20 CFI hours this cost can be as low as 8500 (this is extremely rare). Location, fuel, tax rates, and aircraft used will all affect this price.

Funding - loans, grants, etc

Currently we operate on a "pay only for the time you use" approach under Part 61. You can use your 529 funds as well. Unfortunately being Part 61 we cannot accept GI Bill money at this time. AF/Army/Navy COOL program funding approval is currently being pursued.

Prepay options are available at certain prepay benchmarks.

Where are we located?

We are located at Augusta Municipal Airport in Augusta KANSAS.

Can I get my ATP with you?

Yes provided you complete your ATP-CPT with a company like FSI.

Can I time build with your fleet?

Yes. Most aircraft are available for time building. Those that are available to rent will require you to have an extensive checkout and renters insurance. Some aircraft are available for multiple days so you can take vacations over long weekends. Email us for further information.

Do you require renters insurance?

Yes, our required limits and suggested insurance companies are outlined in our rental agreement. Current rates are roughly 350 per year.
